Churro French Toast with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Dip
Ingredients for French toast
This is for 6 pieces of bread, if using more double up the eggs and milk etc.
1 loaf of brioche bread ( use 1 – 2 slices per person)
2 eggs
4 tbs oat milk
1 tsp nut meg
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbs butter
1 tbs cinnamon
3 tbs sugar
Cinnamon cream cheese dip
4 oz room temperature cream cheese
2 tbs room temperature butter
½ cup powder sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
For the cream cheese dip, place the butter, vanilla and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer to combine the two and beat until smooth. Add the cinnamon and powder sugar and continue to beat until well mixed. Place in the fridge while you prepare the French toast.
Add the eggs, milk, vanilla and nutmeg int a mixing bowl and beat the mixture until blended. Cut your bread slices into 4 strips for each slice and dip in the mixture. Fry in a frying pan until golden brown.
Melt the 2 tbs of butter in a bowl. Mix your cinnamon and sugar mix and place on a plate. After each French toast stick is cooked, dip in the melted butter and run through the cinnamon and sugar mix. Dip in your cinnamon cream cheese and enjoy.
Fresh fruit is a great addition!!
